Speaking from beyond the grave, expert assassin John Wilbur Hardin (Michael Madsen) recounts the events leading up to his own death in a bloody gunfight. When Jack Rushton (Gary Busey) discovers that his wife -- femme fatale Rena (Jennifer Tilly) -- has stolen valuable digital information about his criminal enterprise, he hires Hardin to kill her. But, as Hardin moves in, the sensual Rena ensnares him in a web of charm that makes Hardin question his longtime allegiance to her crooked husband.
