Aging Argentine Don Mariano Aguero (Federico Luppi) is wealthy but distressed by the loss of his wife and a failed attempt at philanthropy. So he tries to commit suicide, but that doesn't go as planned, either. His callous family then begins eying their inheritance and plotting ways to put the old man out of his misery. But they're more than a little perturbed when Mariano gets a beautiful live-in caretaker named Rosita (Inés Estévez), who revitalizes his health -- not to mention his libido.
