Gameau never eats sugar and tells you why you shouldn't either - unfortunately the whole thing feels more preachy than informative.

A very interesting and alarming look at the effects of sugar in the human diet. This is the sugar equivalent of the movie Super Size Me and follows the same example but, somehow, is more harrowing to watch. This is definitely a wake up call for us all but sadly most are oblivious to it. Compelling viewing that will make you think twice.

See it before it's banned. How did this get shown? If people listened $billions would be lost. Must be at least equivalent to the defence budget. Don't we each have to do our bit and eat this stuff to keep the industry going? But oh, what a shameful and tragic picture there was, of a handsome, young, white American man, reduced to a disfigured victim, living in constant pain. Gameau will no doubt get poison arrows. He proves that you can spend the same amount of money, and eat the same number of calories, and still get rid of the sugar from your diet. His wife cooks yummy home food; she probably led the charge. For very young kids, be a little cautious as the film's lolly colors and cartoon style might look like ads for sweets. The science is delivered at a blistering pace; if you're in deep sugar trance, you won't keep up. No stress. The message is clear as pie. Lay off the sweet stuff. Not as easy as it sounds, especially in the US, but it could save a lot of medical bills and delay the funerals. Sceptical? Then try the experiment in reverse - cut out sugar for 2 months and report the results. You could be looking great, and be a magnet. Show this film in every school. Love bitter and sour.
