I couldn't stand the obnoxious football player who filmed the whole movie with a cheap cam. Annoying and stupid as ever. Another thing that didn't make a lot of sense was. Why are they constantly filming in the dark running around a dark school with a cam corder?!? Makes no sense. Please I hope this is one of the last found-footage piece of garbage ever made. I don't understand how this type of cheap cinema ever got popular. What a waste of movie.
What the fuck is this shit?
The Gallows, is a perfect horror movie it grabbed my attention and did not lose any second of it. With thrills and suspense the Gallows is another horror favorite.
It has flaws, and might be one of the bad good found footage films. There are many of those. But it is truly scary, sort of underrated.
Not a diverse piece at all.
The Gallows is a pretty standard found footage horror. There are some decent jump scares but these don't make up for the silly story-line and the ridiculous ending unfortunately. The story follows the reproduction of a play some 20 years after the last production ended in tragedy with the accidental death of one of the actors. Obviously you stage the play again to pay tribute to this tragedy. Any how, you have this meat head who thinks his sports star best mate has lost his way by signing up for the play so meat head and friends break into school after dark to wreck the set. The doors lock and then there is running, screaming and a guy who looks like the Batman villain Scarecrow. We then reach the ridiculous ending which I won't spoil for everyone who will immediately get a hold of a copy of the film after reading this review.
A few jumps but not even worth the commitment of the short running time of 80 minutes.
This movie is scary af it gave me chills me and my mom screamed it was so creepy and spine chilling it had a good build up and showed the characters personality in a great way it is a great movie and it’s not one of those annoying camera movies it is actually great and I recommend this don’t listen to the bad reviews it’s great
I watching it with my mom. She screamed and she never screams when watching a scary movie. I would give it a great rate because I was really scared and it all made sense. I told all of my friends about it and they said they got nightmares just hearing about it. The rotten tomatoes sucks. It's such a lie. My friends would be to scared to watch it w/ me but I request everyone who likes it to watch it. It's scary if you are under the age of 10 or 11. I'm 12 and I love it but only because I watch scary movies with my mom. I would recommend to go watch it w/ someone! Thank you and plz watch it! You won't be sorry
this movie is so abysmal, it makes constructive criticism almost impossible. it made me very angry, just by being so poorly conceived and executed.
