The problem here is it comes off more as a lecture with stand ins for each side, instead of an interesting story that happens to deal with those issues thoughtfully. I just wasn't up for mixed messages and social tension when I watched it. I'm not going to give away the plot here because the surprise turns are what makes it so good.
