Stu F 01/23/2025 Alien with kids!! Terrible idea. The characters in the original Alien film were young, but believable. This just feels like a reaction to the success of Stranger Things. The film feels small scale. The effects are great but they don’t make the world feel big. I don’t get the idea of the main ship - with two halves Romulus and Remus. No doubt it had some meaning in the script and the original edit - which apparently was way too long and cut down for the theatrical release. It just serves to remind me that there is an absence of any great themes in this film. And any interesting characters for that matter. Stream it if you must. But maybe go and watch a classic instead - I ended up finishing The Untouchables half way through Alien Rumulos, and dragged myself back to finish it. See more Read all reviews
