The narrative of Strachwitz as preserver of obscure music just repeats like a broken record with the introduction of each region, genre and musician.
I dare you not to tap your feet.
Most of these musical interludes are reasonably engaging, even if the storytelling threatens to become one-note.
Strachwitz's enthusiasm - "This ain't no mouse music!" he's given to shouting - and a brace of choice anecdotes prove compelling on their own.
