It's over bloated, stupid, yet entertaining. If Emmerich has gotten bored of blowing up the White House, then I guess he wanted to make it an action playhouse.

Die Hard knockoff meets Obama knockoff in a trite, campy, lets-blow-things-up bit of silliness.

Great movie! Didn't see it coming...

I feel like valuable neurones have been irreparably damaged, much like the White House in this film. Even Gyllenhaal is not immune the shark jump it seems. It's so bad that when the cliched inevitable trolley dilemma eventuated I was hoping they'd take the innocent life just to put an end to the story.

The third best Die Hard movie, carrying over archetypes, tone, and pacing from the first and With a Vengeance. While some will accuse it of politicizing, accepting and choosing to enjoy its over-the-top scale reveals more character and pop than many of its contemporaries.

White House Down is all about the White House,
It's scary how reviews will not be cared for for this film
and i am suppose this is Channing Tatum's Prize.
Not Too Bad! The way that Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx both have similar interest in movies White House Down Really Explains how the white house is a rich place to live in. Satirising to say the Presidents ideal for the countdown.

Score: 9/10

Well, Jason Clarke put on so much more brilliant acting than others to be honest.

Four stars hands down! Terrific job by Jamie Foxx adding a touch of humor "get your hands off my Jordan's" lol. If your looking for an A list action movie along the lines of the great "Die Hard" then this ones for you! Go see it!

A classic Die Hard premise, very professionally executed by the master of destruction. When the film doesn't take itself too seriously while kicking ass, it works like a charm. Unfortunately, some scenes are so silly they're almost unintentionally funny (POTUS + bazooka on White House lawn car chase) and the flag waving finale is way too much. But other than that this is pretty solid and entertaining action cinema.

After watching White House Down you can't help but compare it to Olympus Has Fallen and it's better in places and not so better in others, The effects were great and the action scenes were entertaining, It started to slow for me and I was losing interest abit, When the White House is first taken over you could imagine it being a Die Hard film but then it get's more explosive and it loses the Die Hard name, Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum were great together and provided some funny humour, It's just as good as Olympus Has Fallen if it had abit more bulk and blood (What Gerard Butler brought to Olympus Has Fallen) It would of been better but it didnt but it's still a great entertaining film.

exelenete pelicula pero con un guion que parece mas de comedia que de accion, con una acción increíble, con muy buenos efectos especiales y con actuaciones buenas.

Action packed from start to finish can't compensate for a lazy plot.

Great movie packed with action

Watchable; the best movie Emmerich has directed in years.

Just plain fun! Stupid, but not so stupid that it doesn't make any sense. Plenty of crazy action, and the special effects aren't great, but they don't have to be in a movie like this. I watched it again, as a was looking for a mindless action movie to veg out on while cooking and eating, and it was perfect!
Watched on Netflix at home with Josh, May 18, 2016.

White House Down is a disappointing film. It is about a Capitol policeman who springs into action to save his child and protect the president from a group of paramilitary invaders. Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx give horrible performances. The script is badly written. Roland Emmerich did a terrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture.

This film is incredibly clichéd, is incredibly dialogue heavy, and at points makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Despite all this, its over-the-top action and plot pushes White House Down into becoming an incredibly fun movie to watch. The best part is that it doesn't take itself too seriously.
