Critics Consensus

Nathan Fielder's ironclad commitment to the bit is pushed to its limit in You Can See Everything, an inscrutable Rorschach Test of Elizabeth Holmes' psyche that's as absorbing as it is haunting.

And maybe that is the point. No matter how hard you try, no matter how deep you dig, sometimes the truth isn’t as clear or as obvious as it may seem. Go to Full Review

If I just look at the four corners of this documentary, I think it's really well-done. I think it's quite compelling in a lot of places. And it offers moments of genuine insight. Go to Full Review

Anna H 36 min ago I don’t think this film qualifies as a documentary. It’s not exactly a fluff piece, certainly not investigative journalism. Basically just a snapshot into Elizabeth Holmes’ life. No tough questions are asked and zero questions are answered. Holmes portrays herself as a naive victim to the truly narcissistic and manipulative men in her life. Nathan Fielder seemingly did very little with the time he spent with them other than conduct interviews filled with mostly awkward silence. The second half of the film is even more frustrating as he inexplicably uses Amanda Syfried as part of the film process. And although I did not think she should be part of the film outside of the forced re-enactments she was surprisingly one of the few “characters” in the film that offered realistic reactions to the crazy things that came out of Billy Evan’s’ and Nathan Fielder’s mouths. 3+ hours of unsatisfying mockumentary See more Heather 45 min ago An absolutely fascinating film. See more Caroline 2 hrs ago scariest movie of the year See more customer 4 hrs ago Great film! Not sure why the audience was laughing every time Nathan was on screen … I dont think he was that funny in this. I think many people have an idea of him as this dry comedian … he becomes an extension of the audience with his deadpan looks that seem to signify that this is absolutely insane. Nathan wont let platitudes or simple banal thoughts fly by … he keeps people in the moment by asking the simple question like “what do you mean by that?” This is important in an age when science and technology mumbo-jumbo can explain pretty much everything. Nathan is really trying to find the truth and honesty in Elizabeth and Billy, and i think he is seen in the social media realm as a warrior of truth in people. See more Read all reviews
