The Gentlemen (2020) Korey Coleman This put a fresh spin on old stuff. We know that these movies are starting to blend together...but this wasn't the same thing. EDIT

The Gentlemen (2020) Martin Thomas This may have broken that January curse...this was good. EDIT
Posted Jan 24, 2020
Dolittle (2020) Martin Thomas Robert Downey Jr. seemed proud of this...this is stuff you just don't do. EDIT
Posted Jan 24, 2020
Dolittle (2020) Korey Coleman Jesus, man, Tony Stark died for this? Sad, it really is. EDIT
Posted Jan 24, 2020
Bad Boys for Life (2020) Martin Thomas This movie was a big surprise, especially coming out in January. I couldn't believe how much I laughed, from beginning to end. EDIT

Bad Boys for Life (2020) Korey Coleman It's a lot of fun, I'm not one of those people that says to check your brain at the door...don't be stuck up about these types of movies...very enjoyable. EDIT

The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson (2019) Martin Thomas Man, I'm just done with this... EDIT
Posted Jan 24, 2020
The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson (2019) Korey Coleman Garbage, made-for-cable wanna-be thriller... EDIT
Posted Jan 24, 2020
The Grudge (2020) Korey Coleman You could've had the creep factor, something that really stuck with them, you had mood and atmosphere...and you even had a great mythology to play with, and you made a boring thing with it. EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Underwater (2020) Korey Coleman This had characters doing things they shouldn't even know about...the ending is bad, nothing new... EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Underwater (2020) Martin Thomas It's almost admirable, just how many things it rips off...you're watching, not believing, as they just change which movie they're ripping off...the first half had potential to go off and do something, but then it doesn't. EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Like a Boss (2020) Martin Thomas It has all the elements of the same old nonsense...I'm not necessarily saying you even watch this when it comes on Netflix... EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Like a Boss (2020) Korey Coleman There are bits and pieces of a few real gems in there...I gotta be fair, I hate myself even saying this, but I'm letting it get by. EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Just Mercy (2019) Martin Thomas It's talking about something very important, and I appreciate that, especially because it goes into this without putting a happy spin...admittedly, it's kind of generic as a drama... EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Just Mercy (2019) Korey Coleman It gets its point across so very well, and the movie can be as formulaic as it wants to be if you walk away knowing something and it does its job well. EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Bombshell (2019) Martin Thomas Regular if not for the performances of Charlize Theron and John Lithgow...big props to it actually winning me over... EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Bombshell (2019) Korey Coleman It's a little heavy-handed in an area where it needs to be, but this can speak on its own. It does a good job of bringing this to light, and it makes you angry. EDIT
Posted Jan 13, 2020
Uncut Gems (2019) Korey Coleman The movie has a great, frantic pace to it...but it could have been shorter, maybe because they spent so much time with The Weeknd...I also wish it had another conclusion... EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Uncut Gems (2019) Martin Thomas This is really something ambitious, different. And it's good to see. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Richard Jewell (2019) Martin Thomas I loved this so much more than I ever expected to. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) Korey Coleman It mostly worked for me...the cast is having a lot of fun, and would I prefer something better? Yeah. But this is here, and judging it on its merits, it's a lot of fun to be had. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) Martin Thomas There's not any freshness there...the few things that are positive don't outweigh the negative or the pointless... EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
6 Underground (2019) Korey Coleman This is about as optional as it gets...it's not taking up big screens for "real cinema," but it's just there for people who know they enjoy this type of thing. It's very transparent. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
6 Underground (2019) Martin Thomas I'm not a Michael Bay fan, but despite myself, I was really enjoying this. A guilty pleasure. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Korey Coleman You've to have your idea, your vision, your inspiration...this is not that of the Star Wars universe. A new Star Wars movie every year...means you're going to make one whether you have an idea or not. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Martin Thomas There are tropes that I found frustrating, inconsistent...whatever you have going on, please let us know so we can watch accordingly! EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Cats (2019) Korey Coleman You thought we stopped at cat-human hybrids? Oh no...nightmares. A nightmare that does not end for two hours. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Cats (2019) Martin Thomas There will be people, fans of the musical, that will both give them what they want and something new...so much of it plays, even in concept, to just loving cats and giving them personalities. If you have that sort of affection, you probably go with it. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Klaus (2019) Martin Thomas The fluidity, the smoothness of the 3D animation...people, it looks good, incredible. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Klaus (2019) Korey Coleman This should be eligible for Best Animated Picture. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Marriage Story (2019) Korey Coleman It just reflects life so well, and it's going to choke you up. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Little Women (2019) Korey Coleman The book, the first movie didn't stick with me...but that's why I love this...this movie is going to stick on me, it's left an impression that will last for a long time, and I think it has something to do with the modernization... EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Little Women (2019) Martin Thomas It has all the elements of a [great] movie, and it does what it should do...I want to watch it again. EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Spies in Disguise (2019) Korey Coleman Not too far away from the usual family-animated films, but much more stylized...it does feel a bit like adults trying to pander to kids...but this comes out at the perfect time, a holiday film... EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
Spies in Disguise (2019) Martin Thomas As much as Will Smith can feel obnoxious...it works after that, and the theme is about working with people... EDIT
Posted Dec 30, 2019
The Irishman (2019) Korey Coleman I admire the filmmaking here, and with three-and-a-half hours there's a lot of greatness in it. EDIT
Posted Dec 9, 2019
A Hidden Life (2019) Korey Coleman I absolutely would not stay and watch this again, I'm sorry...there is a captivating story in this, but this wasn't it... EDIT
Posted Dec 9, 2019
Queen & Slim (2019) Martin Thomas I appreciate it and admire it, but it felt clumsy...these things weren't woven into each other...and it's got an ending I've seen in other movies. EDIT
Posted Dec 9, 2019
Queen & Slim (2019) Korey Coleman I enjoyed it way more than I thought it would...it felt like the energy of a Blaxploitation film, but it didn't go to that level... EDIT
Posted Dec 9, 2019
Knives Out (2019) Korey Coleman You'll enjoy this...people have to shut the heck up and just watch. EDIT
Posted Dec 9, 2019
Knives Out (2019) Martin Thomas It delivers on what it's set out to do...very entertaining, a good crowd-pleasing movie that no one will be disappointed with. EDIT
Posted Dec 9, 2019
Charlie's Angels (2019) Korey Coleman I think [its message] is forced in there...these girls never feel like a team or a sisterhood... EDIT
Posted Nov 22, 2019
Charlie's Angels (2019) Martin Thomas I don't like this at all. And yet, knowing what it is, I see who [the movie] is talking to. But I felt like I was getting beat over the head. EDIT
Posted Nov 22, 2019
The Good Liar (2019) Korey Coleman It's well-crafted enough, to where it could've unfolded in such an expert way...but they're just reading what's going on and filming the backstory... EDIT
Posted Nov 22, 2019
The Good Liar (2019) Martin Thomas Maybe the problem is that novel... EDIT
Posted Nov 22, 2019
The Report (2019) Martin Thomas There's no big dramatic thing that makes you love it or stick with it...you don't need to rush to the theater to see it, but when it's streaming, make it a priority. EDIT
Posted Nov 22, 2019
Waves (2019) Korey Coleman I do have to give this movie credit, there's a lot of greatness...but it did bug me, I'm getting tired of people seeing our misery as what moves them... EDIT
Posted Nov 22, 2019
Waves (2019) Martin Thomas I loved everything about it, and it's one of my favorite movies this year...the way it's shot...it translated to me, and made me miss being young... EDIT
Posted Nov 22, 2019
Honey Boy (2019) Martin Thomas [It] does a great job of telling the story without belaboring the point. EDIT
Posted Nov 22, 2019
Honey Boy (2019) Korey Coleman It's an examination, a slice of life. It gets in, gets out, and it doesn't take a traditional approach to this story...very creative, and I liked that. EDIT
