A century before the events of "Game of Thrones," two unlikely heroes wander Westeros. In an adaption of George R. R. Martin's novella "The Hedge Knight," a young and naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg, face a series of dangerous exploits. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and images of the last dragon have not yet passed from living memory, great destinies and powerful foes await these improbable and incomparable friends.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a welcome return to Westeros that works better in the buddy-comedy arena rather than solely slaying its competition.

Audience Says

Way more dopey than GoT, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms offers a refreshing, low stakes return to Westeros anchored by the endearing duo of Egg and Dunk.

Perhaps the most exciting the world of Westeros has been since the first season of GoT. A fresh take on The Lone Wolf & Cub storyline, with impeccable acting and charisma from the leads. Go to Full Review

When it’s firing on all cylinders, A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is almost a comedy – a gross-out, frat boy, slobs vs snobs comedy. Go to Full Review

See more e D @RT57513198 6d Hmm.... Tried to give it a few episodes, but just have to say, that the characters are very shallow, and there is no real believable story. It's almost like there was the idea to milk off of the 'game of thrones' world with no real story. The acting is not believable and what was the point of the opening bowel movement by the tree by Dunc? Really bad. Wish Amazon would have allowed me to get my money back. Its like how the current health insurance companies are now practicing medicine dictating patient care and treatment, where the banking investors are writing the scripts and hoping the viewers and fans of 'Game of Thrones' will somehow be hypnotized into thinking there is a good story here which from the other reviews has been successful. See more Salvador C @RT11799332 May 28 Fantastic show and great characters. The cast and rhythm of the show makes it very addictive. It has, in my humble opinion, much more potential than House of Dragon See more ron L @RT48056642 May 23 Successfully captures the atmosphere and essence of the novella. Very enjoyable watch. See more Aidan G @GrayFox8918 May 19 Amazing! How likeable are Egg and Dunk!? An unlikely friendship that is both hilarious and heartwarming. Funny and serious. My only negative is that the episodes could have been longer, but leaving us wanting more says a lot. See more Jason D @RT59525261 May 17 Unfortunately this is not a show for a modern audience. There are hints of the writers trying to draw them in with a couple Disney-style quips, but it's going to be difficult for a lot of people these days to be able to watch this without looking at their phones, because it actually takes it's time with the characters and setting. The world feels lived in. The characters feel palpable. The setting is gritty and real and slow. The interactions are exactly as I would imagine them being for the lower lords, hedge-knights, blacksmiths, stable boys, ladies and... *ladies*. It's sad to see so many unable to keep their eyes on the screen. Unfortunately it's a testament of the average audience members' dwindling attention span and intelligence rather than the show itself. Take your time and look through the reviews and you'll see over and over and over, the score being tainted by adults with underdeveloped prefrontal cortex due to their overindulgence on short form media. 10/10 show.
