The rote, repetitive documentary style of talking head interviews interspersed with the footage of the disaster has a lulling effect with its mundanity and unoriginality. Go to Full Review

dan r @RT53832531 11/15/2022 If you're into documentaries about natural disasters then ‘Aftershock: Everest and the Nepal Earthquake' will be right up your street. SYNOPSIS: ‘Survivors' firsthand accounts and actual footage help to better understand the deadly 2015 earthquake that shook Nepal.' This documentary is a fascinating look at a very recent natural disaster and how it effected the lives of a principal cast of characters, and their fight for survival. Where I find these sort of documentaries more intriguing is where we get first hand video evidence of what actually happened. It's car crash TV, both fascinating and terrifying, whilst also delving into how terrible some people can be even in the most life defining moments. If there is a real complaint here is that there's too much filler and the director wants to spoon feed us backstory we really don't need. Riveting and infuriating in good measure. 6/10 See more Michael W @mawilps 10/22/2022 This docuseries was really good. The entire crew did a fantastic job on bringing this story to life and giving all the testimonies of the people that were there the day of the earthquake. It really goes into detail on what happened and how terrible and horrifying it was for everyone on Mt. Everest and in Kathmandu. If you're a Netflix member, you should see this docuseries. It's worth watching. See more Read all reviews
