Each revelation adds another meaningful layer to the story, while the excellent performances, complicated female relationships, and thoughtful exploration of motherhood, blame, privilege, and responsibility give the mystery genuine emotional weight. Sarah Snook is fantastic, even when I didn’t agree with some of Marissa’s choices, while Michael Peña was the standout for me. Most importantly, the twists feel earned, the mystery remains difficult to predict, and the ending delivers a genuinely satisfying payoff. One I’d happily watch again even knowing the answers. The first few episodes hooked me with the suspense and the mystery of who kidnapped Milo. But the moment the show started to evolve, it became so cliché that it felt like I was watching a TV show from the early 2000s or a Mexican telenovela. The plot is so absurd and surreal that I’m wondering how it got an 80% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
