And Just Like That...: Season 1 (2021)

Season 1
And Just Like That...

Critics Consensus

And Just Like That... fails to recapture Sex and the City's heady fizz, but like a fine wine, these characters have developed subtler depths with age.

What can you say about a show that tries to make itself look tolerant but insults other nations (Russians)? And just like that = Nazis?

Almost 10 episodes and nothing is happening here. They started with what you think will develop into an interesting story (Big dying with Natasha on his will ) but nothing ! We still don't know why was she on his will. They keep jumping into a different story lines that go no where . Miranda love interest, apparently the poster child of moral standards, judges her for not telling Steve about their sex encounters which I find ironic and unfair. The writers are putting efforts in showcasing all current social affairs and it is exhausting to watch. They want to be socially correct yet they insinuated Carrie's neighbor might be a Russian hooker since she's young and able to afford the apartment downstairs. Again, nothing to watch here other than SJP beautiful dresses.

It is SO awesome to see their back! And they are mature, beautiful, full of life! I love EVERYTHING about this new-old series <3

F'ing h3ll... WTF was that! That was the most detestable and disturbing thing I have ever seen on a show. Holy c**p this is really really really bad. As in, someone should go to jail bad.

I have really enjoyed this series, I never liked the original Sex & the City as much, however as a gen z I love the themes, narrative and particularly the truthfulness and complexity of the characters. I feel that it portraits accurately the passions and struggles of women as they age, really loved it.

Well, I must say that Sex and The City is great, Even the first movie is ok. But this new thing Wanders from one thing to another without really offering the charm from the old times.. I gotta Say that Steve is a great character who deserves better. Writers have no other things to say but just talk about gender identity? What happened to the stories and situations stated in each episode Of Sex and the City? They should end up this thing ASAP.

This reboot is just as enthralling as the original SATC. And like the cast, I too am in my 50s and thoroughly get the storylines. I think those that haven't hit this phase in life, would still be looking for the antics of SATC in the 90s. But the world has changed so much since then. And quite frankly, us Gen Xers were fairly content with our non politically correct, sexist, 2 gendered world. If you don't like this iteration, blame the millennials and Gen Z. "They" did this.

So I'm doing this for someone else, because she doesn't have a Rotten Tomatoes account. So, my girlfriend loved Sex and the City as a kid. (I was actually surprised about this LIKE a lot) But she started crying! Because they ruined the first episode SO BAD! All the politics and killing mr bigs? She was actually crushed yall ruined her franchise in 18 mins. Me on the other hand I just thought it was funny apparently some actress didn't want to be on the show because she already knew it was about to be shit LMAO!

This reboot fails on every level, and it's not just because Kim C. did not reprise her role as Samantha (although she is sadly missed). As others have stated, the shoving of current topics down viewers' throats is completely unnecessary. The humor that dotted the original series is sorely lacking. The characters that we have all come to know and love are assassinated left and right. Frankly, there's nothing left...but after the 2 movies (esp. SATC 2) they didn't have much to start with anyway.

Trying to stay relevant but failing miserably whilst everyone can see that there is too much effort. It's not a fun show on the more, just so bad
