Totally love this show!!!!!!!! keep them coming, I cant wait each week for the next episode. Im going to have massive withdrawals having to wait for season 5... ahhhh
Best show on TV since Sons of Anarchy as far as TV crime drama. Very good acting except would say in seasons 2-3 there is some lag into the plot with seasons 1 and 4 being best so far.
Best show on Cable. All the characters all well written and developed. Story lines are great. Who is going to outsmart who. It's a big game of "I have something on you, and you owe me". Everyone has their price.
Why in the world after 4 seasons there is no Critic Consensus. As for the Audience Score, it is spot on at 90%
Animal Kingdom is back with a thunderous fourth season. It went back to basics, involved a much better plotline (especially with the added flashback sequences). Well done!
best show on cable t.v.
Love this show, it's got it all.
In season 4, the series has become more like a soap opera and the characters almost a caricature of themselves. The nuance of the previous seasons seems lost. Jay/Josh's character arc is hard to believe since he really was a naive and nice boy when he first got involved with the Codys. For him to turn so malicious that he would resort to murder for personal gain is really hard to believe. Ellen Barkin is a phenomenal actress but the character she plays, Smurf, is written so tough that she has no redeeming qualities. Her psychological state of mind is too evil to believe without more evidence of the mental instability that would most probably accompany this behavior. A mother that will stop at nothing to maintain control that she's willing to kill anyone in her path including her own sons needs way more of a deep dive into how she must ultimately be very disappointed in life to be darn evil. Even though the writing took a dive this season, I give it 2 1/2 stars because the characters are all incredibly hot, and the heist scenes and bike, boat, and are chase scenes are all ncredibly fun to watch.
Great addictive show keeps you going without getting bored, even the story unfolds slow at times. Acting is great, some complains about flaws but they seam to be intentional since nearly all characters have a bad past since childhood and that can produce exactly these characters. Well observed and written. Has some flair of Kingdom (Boxing Drama) mixed with some part of Son's of Anarchy core characters but overall it's mainly on it's own ground. Hope it's going for many more seasons.
