At times you might wish for some edgier material to cut through the prevailing whimsy and cringe comedy, but there are some enjoyably bold plot developments early on, and much to like in Dom and Kay’s lively, odd-couple chemistry. Go to Full Review

Tyrah H @Review001 Jan 29 So good very funny likeable characters hope there will be a season 3!! See more Alex B @RT07591026 Jan 26 Black Ops sneaks up on you in the best way. It looks like a spy comedy, sounds like a spy comedy, and then quietly turns out to be much smarter and funnier than expected. Season 1 has that rare, slightly chaotic energy of a show that knows its premise is absurd and fully commits to it. What really works is the decision to focus on people who are clearly not cut out to be smooth, glamorous operatives. These characters feel human in a way that makes the comedy land harder. They make bad calls, panic at the wrong moments, and occasionally succeed almost by accident. The humor comes less from big gags and more from sharp observations about incompetence, bureaucracy, and misplaced confidence. The writing is brisk and confident, but never rushed. Jokes are allowed to breathe, and the show takes its time building relationships without feeling indulgent. It is light on its feet while still having something to say!
