Balenciaga (Alberto San Juan) is dedicated to elegance. The show operates in a similar way: refinement in the period detail and production values shines through. Any scandals come with subtle reflection. Go to Full Review

As a study in the changing politics and times of the Twentieth century it's riveting; as a biopic of a man perhaps lost in the annals of time to the brand identity of his name, a timely, much-needed revelation. Go to Full Review

Edward L @Glyndower Sep 3 Another interesting biopic of a member of that most selfish and self-obsessed group, 'fashion designers' of whom the worst was the fascist collaborator Coco Chanel. She comes off better in this than in the 'Dior' biopic series but she remains someone who should have been prosecuted for her involvement with supporting the German occupation of Paris. Balenciaga comes over, like Dior, as a coward who seeks only to protect his business but the series is definitely worth watching. See more Lucas G @Floral_emissions 02/23/2024 This is high quality television. The show not only shows the man and his life, it perfectly portraits the historical moments and most importantly, his art and his creative work. It is a chic show with beautiful outfits, but it is also a lot more. See more Read all reviews
