Vitoria F 06/19/2024 I loved this series of Goofy's "How to..." shorts. Nostalgic and current at the same time. Very creative jokes. They could make of these. See more jacob b 12/27/2022 Didn't think these were that funny, even without taking into account the misguided intentions behind why Disney made these shorts. The binge-watching short was the best one and the animation's good enough. It's nice to see Walt Disney Animation Studios acknowledge 2D animation again and hopefully, this might pave the way for them to bring back 2D animated films to the Canon. Eric Goldberg, who directed these shorts, has gone on record to suggest that they might return and I hope he and Disney will put their money where their mouths are...and hopefully don't have them banished to Disney+ like with Pixar's last few original films (FYI, I'm worried about Elemental and since Lightyear, which was part of a franchise, flopped, Disney might see that as "proof" that nobody wants to see Pixar movies on the big screen anymore; it really doesn't help that it's from the director who had the "honour" of being the guy who made Pixar's first box office bomb...sorry about the tangent, just had to get the concern off my chest). Best to follow Klaus's example. Don't bring it back, bring it FORWARD. But either way, these Goofy cartoons are nowhere near as funny, and far too brief, as the classic How To cartoons or even the Home Theater one to give people incentive to go see National Treasure 2 and, thanks to the odd decision to focus on current events, lacks the timelessness of those shorts. But on the bright side, with the WDAS branding and the aforementioned comments from the guy who's been working at Disney since the early '90s, these could provide a sign of things to come. Hopefully things will pan out better than when The Princess and the Frog failed to live up to Disney's financial expectations. See more Read all reviews
