There's money to be made in the fur trade in the 1700s, which is why Declan Harp is trying to get a piece of it. The outlaw trapper is leading a campaign to breach the Hudson's Bay Company's monopoly on fur in Canada. Lord Benton, on the other hand, is bent on restoring the company's stranglehold on fur and is on a mission to stamp out Harp, who turns to an old ally when bounty hunters close in on him. Harp eventually devises an elaborate scheme to plunder Hudson's Bay and set a trap for Benton.

Feels like it was written by high schoolers. AND THEY KILLED A MAIN CHARACTER OFF SCREEN BETWEEN SEASONS 2 AND 3. In this it fell short. The plot, writing and directing fell short of GOT although it was a good effort. The entire series was a bit choppy plot wise and left some gaps. But the whole thing is forgettable. It almost seemed that they jettisoned all pretense of history in this last season as the character globetrot the known world at the time! Again, the time it takes to get places in those days was made absurd. And Katie McGrath's character was a joke. I mean she was wearing stiletto heels and modern sexy lingerie in one scene. Come on. And don't get me started on the nonsense that went on when Canadian Conan went to Scotland! Season three was pretty bad all the way round. Stick with just the first season.
