Eddie B 12/01/2023 Sorry.. This is forced and the acting just isn't great. That's not to say these aren't some great actors, there are many. It's just poorly directed. I'm sorry. It just is. It also tries to be so very authentic where it really isn't at all. It tries to paint Benny as some sort of superhero mobster who only victimized the really real bad guys. It also leaves out half of the Crime these guys are actually tied into. No mention of the brothels or the actual drug problem even in the eighties. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Chicago. I guarrantee you that the guy at the poker machine, hooking up all of the merri-go-round trips intp the bathroom was hooked up. Not Benny though. He's just all about gambling and running a legit club here and there. He only whacks THE REAL bad guys. Plus, he's made where most of his crew are much older than him and NOT made. What were these guys doing the first fifty years of their life? Working at the DMV? it's silly. Some of the lines and interactions seem like they are adlibbed on the spot and not in a good way. I hate that I think this because I've been a fan of Leo Rossi forever. William Demeo is just not a believable bad ass either. See more Read all reviews
