A mysterious man rises from the primordial waters of an isolated island, possessing knowledge of literally everything in the world except for who he is. While he searches for clues to his missing identity, he uses his unique talent to help the Seattle police department solve "impossible" crimes. Not everyone is convinced that John Doe is a hero, however, especially Lt. Jamie Avery, who investigates him in her own way.

John Doe overcomes its somewhat dubious premise with an alluring sense of mystery and a nuanced performance from Dominic Purcell.

It's The Fugitive meets Momento, sort of -- but at least it's watchable. Go to Full Review

Still, there is a feeling in the country that something terrible was done to us, and there are many who would like to see it avenged... The question is whether John Doe can effectively speak to that. Go to Full Review

Felix R @FSR2003 02/22/2022 Quite good. Another late discovery on my part. Enjoyed it thoroughly. I think it would have done better had it aired a couple of decades sooner. The last 20+ years just too many stations, it has become quite difficult to know when a good show airs unless you are sitting around watching TV all day. See more 11/24/2021 A fun show with a different premise and take on amnesia. Fairly standard police procedural but the cast was so good at the time. Yet another FOX show cancelled before its time. If you have closure issues this might not be the show for you and the only reason it didn't get 5*. See more Read all reviews
