The plot defies logic; then again, so does the idea that this procedural is entering its 19th season.

Season 19 (can you believe it? Nineteen?!) of Law & Order: SVU kicks off with a curveball twist that's impossible to ignore.

Even if it's not itself a perfect vehicle for cultural change, SVU might have something to teach us about writing entertaining television with a good, persuasive intent.

New Law & Order: SVU showrunner Michael Chernuchin did promise that he was going to "throw the kitchen sink" at Olivia this season... Season 19... certainly makes good on that promise.

I'm excited about Olivia being accused of abusing Noah. And I'm glad to see Ice-T have more of a role again since he was noticeably absent in Season 18.

Script writing is poor and the acting is worse. What happened to the tight plots of Season 18 and prior? Disappointing........
