tblkcd052951 @RT31312648 09/05/2022 It's watchable (I've watched the first 5 episodes). The writers do a good job with the three main characters, 13 year old Ella and her two best friends. The little brother part is written pretty well too. And these four young actors to a fine job (they're believable and likeable) with their characters as well. The 30 minute episodes are drama, not sit-com. Ella is a cancer survivor after all. So ... for this to work really, really well, the mom and dad have to be well-written as well, and they are, instead, the usual cardboard-cutouts that we see in 'kids shows'. In this case it's the overly-protective/worried dad, and the working mom who's completely hidden her daughter's illness from her work world. And both are (here's the 'same-old, same-old part) clueless and narcissistic as far as their two kids go ... completely. IMO, that parent-cardboard gets old, but especially with a storyline that reaches back 2-3 years to when Ella first got sick as a ten year old (meaning, at a still parent-centric age).
