Lucky would rather spend seven episodes being chased by the FBI and a bunch of criminals. And thank God for that. The show is at its most fun when it follows Anya Taylor-Joy improvising cons and trying to escape increasingly terrible situations. There’s something incredibly satisfying about watching Lucky read someone in seconds and use exactly what she was taught to survive. The second half loses some of that energy once it has to explain betrayals and set up the ending, but seven episodes keep the story from wearing itself out. Lucky is basically a series about trying to unlearn everything your father taught you while using all of it to avoid getting arrested. Family is complicated. Anna has never run in her life and you can tell. Those flailing elbows were so funny I couldn’t continue. Saying that, I think she is a great actress. Just not a good action star. I Watched First Episode And I Just Kept Watching And Couldn't Stop Until The End, Which Is Rare For Entertainment Nowadays.
