To me, Men in Kilts has a visceral appeal that's distinct from its hosts, as delightfully squabbly and equipped with double entendres as they are. It offers, quite simply, an escape from others, without an escape from companionship. Go to Full Review

What reportedly began as a podcast idea certainly shines in this visual format, which delivers great shots of the beauty of Scotland's countryside as well as of our two sartorially-snappy hosts. Go to Full Review

What makes "Men in Kilts" unique is the personal connection Hueghan and McTavish have to Scotland. Even though they were both born in the country, they still show an immense appreciation for and love of their own culture. Go to Full Review

Almudena Jul 2 The beauty of Scotland is undeniable, a breathtaking backdrop for a show that is superficial and childish... when it's good. When it's bad, you have two (allegedly) grown men playing with torture implements that were wielded against their female ancestors by an oppressive patriarchal establishment. Those were real women -- tortured, brutalized and murdered. Sam and Graham desecrate their memory shamelessly. Sam calls Graham"a witch" repeatedly, gets him to try on torture devices. Graham obliges without hesitation. They both make a mockery of this most sinister and harrowing episode in their own history. I wonder if they will go to Auschwitz next and perform a similar pantomime. Probably not, because in Auschwitz there were many men among the victims. I was a fan of Sam Heughan's before this, I took his reserve and reticence in interviews as a sign of depth. Now I realize that it's just, like we say in Spain, "a donkey's poised demeanor". Or you can use the word that starts with an a instead. See more Kim K Jun 20 This show is so much fun to watch and the actors sparkle together!
