Clay-mation character Orel Puppington is a young boy who constantly deviates from his Protestant upbringing. Though his parents, school coach and Rev. Putty clearly impart their religious values upon him, Orel always misunderstands and for some reason believes that smoking crack is a good thing, euthanasia is OK, and impregnating women with a sperm-filled pastry bag is actually a moral thing to do.

A lively cast of characters around Orel's neighborhood added some depth to the mayhem. Go to Full Review

For those with a wicked sense of humor, and a taste for religious satire, Moral Orel will more than satisfy. Go to Full Review

While adults are more likely to see Moral Orel for what it is -- a biting social satire mocking religious fundamentalism and hypocrisy within the Christian church -- kids (even some older teens) probably won't appreciate the sophistication of the humor. Go to Full Review

Ed @ethan925 Jun 14 This has been on my radar ever since I saw a YouTube video thumbnail going on a deep dive into the themes. I didn't watch it then because it seemed too dark, But the first season is the opposite of that. The reason I started watching is because of a funny moment's compilation that I liked. Realizing it had a lot of the show and I didn't want to spoil it I decided to watch it for myself. Maybe it's social media and the need for instant gratification that caused me to feel like the show was funny, but the compilation was better and I probably would have preferred or just been okay with seeing that. This is rough to reckon with because I believe it gets more narratively deep in later seasons. Already, I feel it's gotten a little repetitive: Orel misinterprets a lesson from church, shenanigans ensue, and then his father teaches him a equally questionable lesson. It starts very simple and then dynamics of many of the show’s primary characters come to light at the end of the season, great progression. The show’s short episodes make this a very easy watch. See more Ryan 10/19/2024 Moral Orel had such a great soundtrack and so many funny moments See more Honest D 01/17/2024 This show was and still is truly ground breaking blasphemous religious satire. As dark as dark humor can get. The claymation makes me nostalgic for my (very religious) childhood. My only possible complaint is that there wasn't more seasons. Then again it's run was so brief that it didn't live long enough to see any decline in its quality. See more Nick C 01/16/2024 I watched this show because I heard it was canceled for being too dark on adult swim and I was surprised by how good it was in this first season it has some iconic moments and Orel gets addicted to crack so that's always a plus See more Black B 05/03/2023 No espere nada de está serie y me logro atrapar en el instante en que empecé a verla. See more Read all reviews
