In a genre that can at times feel homogeneous, it’s amazing that in My Adventures With Superman, we’ve got a show that does such a good job at standing out, simply by just being one of the best animated rom-coms we’ve gotten in a long, long time. Go to Full Review

Miriam M @Mim405 Feb 19 The show continues to be charming and wholesome without ever flinching from realistic emotional stakes and complicated issues. As an adult viewer, I found myself surprisingly engaged. The second half of the season is particularly effective--tense, character-driven, and rewarding. See more Stanm M. @Stanmy Jan 20 enjoyable superhero cartoon that keeps it light See more UltraIsaiah T @RT71392425 Sep 1 Quite easily one of my favorite shows out there. I watched this season all in one day, in one sitting and that says a lot because I’ve always been against the idea of binging culture. This show earned that, however. There’s a lot wrong with this series it’s imperfect but one major complaint I have is with this show’s take on Supergirl. The “dumb brute with broken English” trope is kinda silly to me. On top of this, Clark lost his Trunks in the finale which deeply upset me. That’s it, that’s my main two complaints. The characters are all amazing Lois continues to be just great and this iteration of Jimmy earned his spot near my Mount Rushmore of characters. I may have complained about this show’s Supergirl, I still loved her and her arc. I’m a sucker for a redemption story because of my own troubled past, so naturally she was incredibly compelling to me. See more Jack L @RT22102532 Aug 10 My Adventures with Superman Season 2 offers some creative reimaginings of classic characters like Supergirl and Brainiac, bringing fresh energy to the Superman mythos. I especially appreciated the take on Krypton’s origin story, which added emotional depth and intrigue. That said, while I’ve enjoyed the ride, I’m clearly not the target demographic—some early pacing issues and an underwhelming payoff mean I’ll be stepping away from the series here. See more Vicenzo C @RT58712045 Jul 27 Outstandingly paced, written, and scored, My Adventures With Superman’s sophomore season brings back some old and gives us some new, culminating in a classic Sunday cartoon masterclass. See more Kenny A @nerdsman567 Jul 13 Season Two of MAWS is a surprisingly great follow-up. Even better than the first season. It builds on Season One's foundation with higher stakes, strong emotional depth, and an excellent main villain (Brainiac). This season is a dark Superman story done right! It showcases how you can put Superman in a grim, seemingly hopeless situation and still present him as a shining symbol of hope and optimism, rather than have him succumb to the darkness (Yes, Zack Snyder, I'm lookin' at you). I love MAWS’s take on Superman and Supergirl so much! I especially love how it emphasizes the family dynamic between Clark and Kara. Something that most adaptations never really address. Even in the 90’s “Superman: The Animated Series”, Clark felt noticeably distant toward Kara, despite the fact of how precious their situation is, being the last Kryptonians (Or in the case of Superman TAS’s continuity, AMONG the very last Kryptonians, along with Jax-Ur and Mala). I really like how MAWS’s Clark sees the rarity and importance of his relationship with Kara and wants to treasure it for everything it’s worth. Kara actually means something to him and his willingness to help and support her, despite the traumatic experiences they had, complements his benevolent and selfless nature so much. I’ve never felt so inspired by Superman and Supergirl at any other point in my life until MAWS completely changed my perception of these characters. I’m very thankful for it. Season One made me a Superman fan, but Season 2 cements my love and admiration for his lore and supporting cast even more! See more Read all reviews
