Detective Inspector Kari Sorjonen follows in a long tradition of savant detectives; he’s eccentric, brilliant, obsessive, better with evidence than navigating social situations. But as created by Miikko Oikkonen, he’s also complex and nuanced... Go to Full Review

A procedural that lives between old-school shows like CSI and an extended dramatic format so in fashion these days. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

That European register... gives a twist to the most traditional [police series], supported by the beautiful Nordic landscapes. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Richard B 09/05/2023 Ville Virtanen plays a detective like you will see nowhere else. Convincing and emotional as a deeply traumatised cop on the autism spectrum. Seeing things no one else sees yet completely unable to handle personal and interpersonal relationships. With a strong supporting cast (including the city of Lapeenranta) this is nordic noir at its finest. The well paced and scripted episodes will keep you guessing. If you are after a shallow action film, give Sorjonen / Bordertown a miss. If you like deep series such as The Bridge / The Tunnel or Trapped or even Occupied / Okkupert this is a fantastic fresh take. See more KarmaKee F 02/10/2023 I Loved it. And I want more See more 12/22/2021 Excellent plot and characters. However, DREADFUL English subtitles like so many of the Netflix series. Incorrect tenses throughout and the usual obsession with continuous tense-usage, as in America and most of the non-English-speaking world, obliged to translate their own language into English, whether spoken or written. It's enough to be driving one mad - or, in English - It's enough to drive one mad! See more 12/09/2021 Still at the beginning of the season. Reason for one star is because in the scene where the cops ambush the RV, the German shepherds leadis so tight it has to walk on its back legs. It is still being held on its back legs in the RV. I'd rather watch a film with no animal appearances if they can't be treated properly. Very disappointing in 2021. See more 11/12/2021 I loved it. Well put together and believable characters. See more 11/03/2021 Oof this character. Imagine if you took a mish mash of all the archetypes of "main character detective" from the US, then jumbled it up and put it through an awkwardization filter. Literally his presence on screen just screams fake. It is such a contrived character. I could not watch more than a few minutes of this. I love dark euro detective/crime shows, so it's not the genre. It's this character. The actor ruins the whole series. See more Read all reviews
