Chicago caterers and restaurateurs Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh aim to take the anxiety out of entertaining. Armed with what they call their "accidental food expertise," as well as a number of accessible but impressive recipes and tricks culled from years of working in the catering and restaurant businesses, they share their ideas with home cooks. In addition to their successful food businesses in Chicago, the pair were the winners of the first season of "The Next Food Network Star." They also have a cookbook and an interactive on-camera cooking class called HBTV to their credit.
