After having been missing for nearly 20 years, Rick Sanchez suddenly arrives at daughter Beth's doorstep to move in with her and her family. Although Beth welcomes Rick into her home, her husband, Jerry, isn't as happy about the family reunion. Jerry is concerned about Rick, a sociopathic scientist, using the garage as his personal laboratory. In the lab, Rick works on a number of sci-fi gadgets, some of which could be considered dangerous. But that's not all Rick does that concerns Jerry. He also goes on adventures across the universe that often involve his grandchildren, Morty and Summer.

Delivering clever fun rather than trying to reinvent the wheel yet again, Rick & Morty's eighth season might not reach previous peaks but proves consistently hilarious.

I have tried with this show repeatedly and fallen short as its madcap verve can drift into the self-referential, but it’s not going anywhere. Go to Full Review

Rick and Morty may no longer be as consistently great as it once was, but the show still has moments of pure sci-fi comedy brilliance. Go to Full Review

...[season 8 is] genuinely funny, eager to challenge you as a viewer and explore the psyches of completely broken characters. But the problem is that, to put it bluntly, it no longer manages to excite us as it once did...[Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

jetto 2 @Jetto234 2d Episode 10 is by far the best episode of the entire existence of this series. It had closure, action, twist, and so emotional 😭 See more Troy R @Grim16 3d Honestly it will never be like it was in the beginning, but after watching season 8 I have to say they still bring the occasional banger episode. The episode with the Beths and the episode with Jerrys were two peak ones of memory. The Beth episode made me laugh hard and gave that early season energy of just leaning into the characters. Sort of the same for the Jerry episode but in a different way, sure it still had its laughs, but the core was more about Jerry's place in the show and how uniquely positioned he is to be able to just enjoy being himself. And of course the classical end episode drama is always interesting to progress the story, if not a little depressing. I went into to this season expected that I would confirm the show was slowly losing its excitement and that it would be another season where 90% of the show was nonsense and 10% was good jokes. But I can happily say this season was pretty ok. It wasn't peak, but it had 4-5 episodes that were enjoyable. See more Lerique M @Lerique Jan 12 Worth the wait.Very well made and the details are amazing See more J B @CaesarJ Jan 6 An awful season, no soul in the voices, the colour contrast seems to have changed too - I found it much harder to watch? The gore is excessive when compared to previous seasons. The pacing of each episode is weirdly fast, like the writers asked AI to generate each episode independently and with strict timeframes. No continuity or a cohesive story line to the season. Just weird. I do not recommend watching this one.
