See more Forged S 01/10/2024 On the heels of the new DCU casting announcement, I figure I'll continue my quick thoughts on arguably some of the most iconic and influential superhero cartoons with the grandfather of all superheros, Superman. I remember when this show was first released. At the time it was rare for a cartoon, made for kids, to get a primetime release window. And boy did it deliver. Following the successful formula of Batman: The Animated Series, this cartoon helped mold most of what we know about the character the same as it did for Batman. For example, the show took a relatively unknown Superman villain like Toyman and created two of the creepiest, most memorable episodes of television I've ever seen. Honestly, @jamesgunn really should watch these shows and take notes, because these beloved shows were able to do the characters justice (pun intended).
