Just some good old boys, never meaning no harm. But cousins Bo and Luke Duke certainly have a way of finding trouble with the law everywhere they turn. Their adventures as the Robin Hoods of their rural community of Hazzard County lead them to wild escapes, aided by their souped-up Dodge Charger called the General Lee. The boys' nemesis is Boss Hogg, a corrupt politician who constantly sicks his minion, Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, on the Dukes.

Unfortunately, the first "Dukes" season wasn't the best, with a low budget and characters who found their footing as the series continued (Cooter started out a numbskull type). Go to Full Review

Today, Hazzard's considerable charm endures, even if the sheer predictability is wearing. Go to Full Review

12/20/2015 After Hollywood managed to win the second American Civil war, and convert a south that was on a path to solid liberalism to a totalitarian dictatorship bu using movies like Deliverance to promote the Hollywood cause, then, it's time for the Dukes of Hazzard. Apparently there were some aspects of the south that needed tweaking, it would seem that the almost complete absence of minorities in the Dukes of Hazzard, followed up by news editorials about the racial distribution in Hollywood movies would incite the kind of race war that Hollywood deemed necessary for the south to have. It would seem, judging by recent events circa 21st century, that Hollywood's ambitions have been met. The dukes of hazard was not the only component of Hollywood's campaign, of course. That's about all there is to the TV show. Instead of Bufford Pusser's Hickory maul handle, the Dukes have a 69-70 NASCARish Dodge Charger. That and the constant propaganda blitz are about all that's in the show. See more Read all reviews
