The Agency returns for a much stronger second season that improves on many of the show’s previous shortcomings, even if its slow-burn approach might not be for everyone. Go to Full Review

It’s one of those dramas with a sleek, business-class feel that you can sink into if you’re prepared to make the effort. Go to Full Review

Too much time is devoted to elevating one-note supporting characters and their incidental solo missions, and too little time is given to the star attraction, the man from outer space, the guy with a face worthy of comparing to the Mona Lisa. Go to Full Review

A tight, taut thriller that rewards your attention and knows how to manage a large ensemble without making everyone feel disposable. Worth spending 10 hours with. Go to Full Review

It's a chillingly negative view of human nature going rotten at the core, but weirdly compelling nonetheless. Go to Full Review

I hope Paramount+ brings The Agency back for another season as it is an impressive showcase for every actor and the Butterworths feel like they are building towards something truly shocking if the story were to continue. Go to Full Review

Torben E @Tales_from_Elsewhere Oct 10, 2026 The second season surpasses the already excellent first season in almost every respect. However, it is worth noting that it ends on a massive cliffhanger, and there currently appear to be no plans for a third season. I really like this series—and the second season in particular. My main criticism remains the lack of chemistry between Michael Fassbender and Jodie Turner-Smith; furthermore, the plot would have benefited from dropping one of the storylines. At times, it felt as though the writers couldn't decide whether Fassbender or Saura Lightfoot-Leon was meant to be the season's true star. Yet this is really a minor quibble, as Lightfoot-Leon is incredibly talented, delivering a performance worthy of a "Jane Bond." If a film featuring a female Bond figure were ever to be made, she would, in my opinion, be the perfect choice for the role. She is a great actress—highly likable, with tremendous screen presence—who embodies the role of the spy with absolute authenticity and perfection. See more Adrian R @RT67903421775 Sep 9, 2026 It's good, it's not top class yet I find myself glued to every episode. I guess it's the way they do it the acting is very good as is the directing and settings. They do intrigue well. See more Martha S @RT5789003311126 Sep 4, 2026 Definitely slow, but in a way that worked for me. I like that it trusts the audience to pay attention instead of explaining every little thing, although I can see why some people would find it frustrating. See more Minnie M @Minnie480 Sep 3, 2026 The first season felt more mysterious to me, but I still really enjoyed this. It's slow and sometimes deliberately confusing, yet I always wanted to know what was actually going on. See more Sally A @RT56797804321 Sep 2, 2026 Outstanding show . Fingers crossed for a season 3.
