See more Conrad C @sosopoptart 6h You can tell that this show was made to be fun, and sometimes that comes at the expense of real emotion and accurate reactions to the horrors committed. The second season feels much like the first, but a little less fresh this time. The soundtrack has not gotten old, though, and Antony Partos does a lot to improve my impression of this season. The best parts are always Jack and Lady Jane, and I never could muster much interest in the antics of Fagin, despite being played by David Thewlis. Not only for its loose and messy structure, but also for its multiple short and forsaken plots that could have filled the show till the very end. What's the worst, the uncertainty of the storytellers as to the quality of this season could be seen from the very beginning. The opening sequences look as if they were written to immidiately bring the viewer's attention and prevent him from quitting. Same goes for the ending with its many plots hung in nearly critical moments, what leaves us with a very unpleasent feeling of simply being forced (not engaged) to watch the next season (if there will be one) just to find an answer that will simply be yes or no.
