Such an interesting story and characters with top acting and directing. There isn't a subpar performer in the cast but Maia Mitchell and Thomas Brodie-Sangster are exceptional as the leads, and of course David Thewlis brings Fagin to life in a way very few people could. The show manages to make the familiar Dickensian tropes feel fresh and original. There's even (what feels to me like) a wonderful nod to Bridgerton earlier in the season. It was done fantastically and subtly. The lavish and colorful costumes deserve high praise. It would be an absolute crime against quality television if this didn't get renewed for a 3rd season! The film score selection has been top notch and has set the tone for the show so perfectly. The final song of season 2 “Something in the Water” by Meg Mac was a wonderful choice.
