Six-part French mystery thriller in which a group of friends and acquaintances are trapped in a rural holiday home, with an apparent serial killer in their midst. It's about revenge, conspiracies and the past not letting go. Sound familiar? Go to Full Review

From the ridiculously outlandish ending of the first episode, you're in for a joyride. Go to Full Review

Succeeding both as a horror story and as a tale of revenge, "The Chalet" is a mesmerizing and satisfying miniseries. Go to Full Review

This show has everything: a haunting theme song sung by what can only be a creepy French child, mysterious murders, strangely-timed sexual encounters, childhood trauma, possible hallucinations, and more... Go to Full Review

Stream it. It's pretty creepy, and the primary stars do a nice job communicating how much history this chalet and the weird mountain village next to it has. Go to Full Review

Tom S @Acewrite13 12/04/2022 [CONTAINS SPOILERS] If you watch anything French, you just have to accept that the plotting might be utterly absurd. And this is certainly no exception, but I have to admit I enjoyed the whole bonkers story from beginning to end, even though they never explain how it is a certain character was actually not killed when we actually saw him killed. See more Naomi V @RT77991702 02/24/2021 Someone is murdering the people in the small town and no one knows who or why. I enjoyed this series and was entertained. There isn't any English audio (which sometimes can be horrible) but the English subtitles gave an accurate account of the French language. The pacing is slow at first but necessary to become familiar with each of the characters. There's a few hints thrown in as to who is who if you pay attention. The non linear narrative can be confusing but pay attention to the names, some of the makeup to age the characters confused me as some characters looked the same and some looked too different to know they were supposed to be the same person. Overall, I give the story a solid 7.5 out of ten. I do like the slow burn and seriousness of the series, the score was slightly cheesy but didn't affect the enjoyment. Nicely done. Bonne Soir! See more 11/27/2020 Interesting storytelling with two alternating timelines that combine into one quality plot twist. Cinematography is on a low budget, clearly seen in the harsh sunlight, shaky cameras, and weird camera angles. Outstanding music & sound design too | follow us at @uncle.review See more 08/16/2020 Like most French series and films I watch, this one was excellent in its subtlety and use of intellect to weave the tale. The slow burn storytelling and well-balanced ensemble cast made for an easy Sunday afternoon of bingewatching! Absolutely engrossing! (Manu - first character on the screen and by far the most beautiful - WOW! I spent way too much time google-stalking him!) See more 04/22/2020 Boring as hell. I started this series as I am a big fan of slasher/'who has done it' it series. However, the abundance of long dialogues kills the suspense which makes you just impatient for the next 'bloody' thing to happen.
