It's a literal popularity contest that somehow, incredibly, manages to be more fascinating than annoying.

Audience Reviews for The Circle: Season 2

  • May 08, 2021
Season 1 was better than season 2. The first season felt more genuine and it was entertaining how tough decisions were when everyone got along. Season 2 was much more cutthroat and while I appreciated that everyone was finally playing a game and recognized that at the end, it left me with an icky feeling because of all the negativity. It felt more "produced" than the first season and less authentic.

I watched the first season out of curiosity after that I was addicted to the show. The second season is even better than the first one. Great show for people that love social competition shows like The Survivor. It feels like it is its equivalent for the pandemic viewers.

The first season was OK, mostly because it was a fresh concept. But Season 2 is basically a competition of who can be more woke and liberal. The direction Netflix took is pretty sad. No need to push political agenda in a reality show. I give 1,5 star because of Chloe, who is the only bright spot.
