See more Ethan T @RT55156765 Jun 27 This show has developed so well, like aging wine or curing meats. Things are getting very dark, and it didn't happen all at once. The only note is one of personal preference: I really want some of these jerk antagonists to die in worse ways or even at all. Constantly letting go objectively bad people so that they can go do bad things again for the plot is a common tactic, but bloodlust needs to be satisfied sometime. See more April A @RT02598116 02/18/2025 This season had by the far the best themes, soundtrack, and aesthetic, full of Political intrigue, Pirates, Dreams, Dragons, Curses, Libraries, Sacrifices and Love. This season returned TDP to it's previous greatness with all it's emotional highs and lows. It has everything you could ask for out of a fantasy show and it made me so I invested unlike every other show I've watched. It has the best character writing which made me so invested in the storyline and made me feel sympathetic towards the characters it had good fight scenes which make me engaged and yet not too violent for children not to watch it had very good moral messages which I will still remember in time and I went absolutely crazy over the little plot lines that happened to all of the plot twists. A true return to form, season 5 is an absolutely charming adventure that blends lighthearted humor with surprising depths of darkness. Stakes are significantly raised from the previous season, and the final few episodes in particular deliver shocking moments that remain a highlight of both arc 2 and the series as a whole.
