We've all heard the cliché about how the more things change, the more they say the same, but The Goldbergs managed to kick off its third season with things both changing and staying the same.

It's because of this level of clever writing that the show is able to get away with the fact that it's basically just recycling plots from old 80's movies more often than not. What it lacks in originality, it makes up for in funny.

Audience Reviews for The Goldbergs: Season 3

  • Feb 10, 2019
S3 is more of the same from the dysfunctional Goldberg family and because of the cleverly funny writing, the show's lack of originality can be overlooked as it just recreates moments from famous television shows and films from the 1980s.

This show never gets boring and Wendi McLendon-Covey continues to shine in this roll.

The first two seasons were great. A favorite show. I was an 80's kid so that helps. But season 3, ok still great BUT Adam just bugs the crap out of me. The character is still so lost in 10yo attitude. I still like him bug he needs better things going on with him. Ok ok I know its all based on the real person but still... For its credit I love every other person on the show. I love to hate Beverly. Erica's is great and Barry is completely insane. Cant get better than that.

season 3 did give me some good laughs especially on two of the episodes a thumbs up on that looking on 1980s movies/music/events etc. it was a very cool experience in the show no doubt but probably the most laughs I got from ABC so far 4 stars and 88%
