Tv Season Info

Series 2 opens with the fantasy-football draft in Las Vegas. The guys must choose between commissioner Kevin's (Stephen Rannazzisi) football-savvy wife Jenny (Katie Aselton) and Ruxin's creepy brother-in-law Rafi (Jason Mantzoukas) to fill an opening in the league. Former girlfriends abound in appearances by Pete's ex Meegan (Leslie Bibb); one of Kevin's ex's (Lake Bell); and at a high-school reunion, the girl for whom the Shiva Trophy is named sheds more light on her history with the league members. A last-place award is also established, while Pete (Mark Duplass) vows to run a marathon, Andre (Paul Scheer) and Ruxin (Nick Kroll) refuse to accept a tie in their league matchup, and Kevin and Jenny's Halloween party combines child and adult themes.

Critic Reviews for The League Season 2

All Critics (3) | Top Critics (2)

Though it makes compromises in order to deliver its premise while satisfying the average audience, some of the scenes and many of its label themes are among the cleverest, self-conscious comedy writing on television.

The League is one of those shows that's almost funnier after the fact.
