Of course it's going to get bad reviews from "believers" unless it takes a pro-alien stance and presents evidence as best it can - which it didn't. It in fact leaned in the opposite direction, highlighting most of the things that suggest a hoax. However I agree with those that say the director didn't do enough research and didn't investigate deeply enough a number of claims and witness accounts. It seemed quite a lazy production, focusing in the main between the public spat between the two featured individuals involved. Which itself was interesting, but ultimately lacking. It just didn't even ask the obvious question that other reviewers have already posted. Also Linda went a bit far claiming the FBI pulled her off the street to count her toes to check she wasn't half alien. It became laughable at that point. SYNOPSIS: 'A woman claims to have been abducted from her bedroom in Manhattan. This docuseries explores whether it was an elaborate hoax - or proof of alien life.' Is this an alien abduction story or more a story of a personal dispute over who was telling the truth or not? I don't know and I don't think its creators know either. It's a bit of a mess, which is unusual for Netflix, but the stories are entertaining however farfetched they might actually be. Disappointing. 4/10 See more Phillip A 11/18/2024 Took so long to tell the story but missed so much detail of this story. The lady claimed to have been kidnapped by the pope in the pope mobile and then asked to be the Vaticans representative to aliens. That is just one of the details that are not even mentioned. There are so many more details which considering they were given 3 hours they didn't even mention. I think had many of the other details been brought up it would have been a better story. Otherwise it comes across as balanced and have the filmmakers almost saying "you make the call". See more J B 11/15/2024 It drip feeds crumbs of what could be an interesting story over the span of three hours when if you took out the filler rubbish you’d have about 2 -3 minutes of entertainment. Interesting ideas are floated without ever going into depth and quickly abandoned. They say there were 23 witnesses to this abduction and yet you’re telling me they didn’t try to speak to a single one of them to corroborate this story? They also didn’t get detailed physical descriptions of the so called aliens from the people who were claiming to have seen them multiple times in their home.
