(SPOILER ALERT) My biggest gripe was the sudden and seeming forced relationship between Ned and Mare. I wish sitcoms could develop more platonic relationships between male and female instead of always forcing them into romantic relationships. So I started over and just like others said it takes 3-5 episodes to hit its stride but they’re short episodes so it’s worth it! It is in the same vein as The Office and the little office Easter eggs combined with the great Oscar Nunez adds a fun element but it doesn’t simply try to ride The Office’s coattails. I will say I saw someone say "it’s really woke" and yeah that’s true, I could definitely do without that. It’s a great show for the end of the night before bed or one when you just need a break from your head and doesn’t demand too much concentration. I am enjoying watching these characters develop. I’m glad it’s picked up for a second season and I definitely recommend you check it out and be patient- watch 5 episodes before you give up on it. It’s cute, quirky and a great comfort show!
