Andre R @RT29144489 Oct 12 As a big fan of the original Trigun, It took me 2 episodes until I really saw how amazing this show was. I didnt like the cgi animation at first, but it grew on me and I think was a great choice to differentiate it from the original. I love the different vibe from the original show as well as the similarities. The story was thoroughly fleshed out and had me watching from start to end. The ending was perfect as well as the music. I am very excited for season 2. I recommend any original Trigun fan or anime fan to give the show a try. See more Sharon K @RT86914369 Apr 27 On my first watch I liked this and found it interesting, but it wasn’t until I read the manga it’s based on and watched the original anime as well that I was able to really appreciate this version of the story. Each Trigun adaptation (along with the original) are essentially the same story or similar, and while things happen differently or the style may feel different - I feel they each share the same beating heart. This is rare for something with multiple adaptations. On another note, Studio Orange’s recreation of anime CGI as we know it must be applauded here. I am on the edge of my seat for Trigun Stargaze. See more Javinder S @RT45893629 01/20/2025 Don't listen to the old heads. If they wanted an exact copy of the original so bad, they could have just gone watching the original. They do that with everything really. Boring bunch. Most of all, I don't understand their need to project their negativity onto the new and younger audience who would actually love this show. To keep it short and spoiler free, I found it pretty cool. The CGI animation can feel a little peculiar, especially if you are really used to the classic anime animation style. Nevertheless it does a great job, with some episodes being an absolute feast for the eyes. The plot is built around an apocalyptic future scenario, the pace is fast, characters have dept and music score is breathtaking! It's not necessary to watch the 1998 version to enjoy the 2023 version (it's a reboot, Not a sequel) but going from original to remake allows for a more thorough enjoyment of the story aspects of the first, as revelations in the first aren't treated revelations in the latter. Key elements that the Original slowly reveal through its series are dumped on the viewer early on in the Remake. This doesn't make the new one worse. They have decided to focus on different aspects of the Manga, which changes the pacing, reveals, and motivations of the characters. While not hitting the same notes as OG, Stampede is a nice little twist on a favourite cocktail. I don't think I'll order this one again, but I won't sent it back either, whereas Trigun 1998 I will always go back to. See more Tanks Makery T @RT55483468 03/31/2024 It wasn’t too bad. The animation style took a bit to get used to but it was visually stunning. It is much more gruesome than I remember the original being. The difference in story and including Knives earlier in the show was interesting. I was disappointed in Vash’s character. He just seemed to cry and run and was much more of a punching bag than I remembered. His resolve in the end wasn’t very convincing (at least as it comes across in the dub). It makes you really more empathetic to Knives’ position and overall Vash’s stance just seems very surface level and not strong enough to make you root for humanity.
