Season 2 introduces new allies to their cause and new alien locales to be explored... the expanded setting benefits the characters, action, and comedy -- the three elements that make up the core appeal of the show.

This series continued to be one of the most densely plotted, fun, adventurous, and all-around enjoyable shows on TV, regardless of format or medium.

Season 2 is an improvement on an already great first season. Let's hope that trend continues.

You've never seen Voltron like this before.

Jan 19, 2017 | Rating: 5/5 | Full Review…

Voltron Legendary Defender has expanded beyond the scope of the original series. It doesn't need to reference it quite as much anymore because it's so astounding all on its own.

Good until the very end of the last wpisode. There was no set up for that, in fact the story set up was for the opposite of what happed.

Voltron keeps entertaining with the suspense in his finals.

I loved it! Lots of people are gonna talk crap about the show, staff, and such, but I appreciate the representation and art they brought. They did leave a few big questions unanswered (important ones) and the ending felt was a bit rushed. But overall I loved it.

The second season was even more brilliant than the first, deepening the development of these vivid characters and broadening the universe for them.

Picking up where the first season left off, Voltron: Legendary Defender continues its winning streak with another round of beautiful animation, thrilling action sequences and a healthy dose of humour. It's true what they say, laughter is the best medicine. While it does bring back these positive qualities, it also brings a somewhat unexpected amount of drama. From Allura's prejudice against the Galra to the mysteries regarding Keith's past. While I usually have perfectly understandable prejudices against DreamWorks shows, yet watch their movies no problem, since they clearly look like they're targeted towards children, this show and Trollhunters are the two exceptions. I don't plan on wasting my time on those other shows anytime soon. This Netflix original manages to appeal to audiences of all ages without having audiences facing the requirement of being familiar with the original Voltron cartoon. If there were inside jokes to the original in either one of the two seasons, I missed them. Now, I'll get Season 3 out of the way before The Defenders finally arrives. That teaser trailer for the third season felt so...dramatic. I hope I enjoy it as most of the people who want to watch a giant robot/5 robo-lions fight aliens and blow everything up. Those explosions are more beautiful than half of the Baysplosions. I think I'm dragging on so I'm going to stop here. But trust me, Voltron: Legendary Defender is the only DreamWorks/Netflix show you're likely to enjoy, regardless of age, aside from Trollhunters. I don't know about Dragons: Race to the Edge, though.

As good or better than the first season. Really well done! :)

This is how you reboot an 80's franchise! Time for netflix to reboot Visionaries: Knights of the magical light! :)
