X-men 97 is a fantastic series, but for a show that constantly asks what it means to be human, and what relieves us of our humanity, the irony that Disney has opted to only pay for synthetic voiced audio description is not lost on me. Go to Full Review

As I faithfully watched each episode every week, I realized with a growing, sinking feeling that this season didn’t have the clarity and stubborn vision as the first. The season finale clinched it. Go to Full Review

Everything is very complex, but it's explained perfectly, because even though X-Men '97 has around twenty main characters running around, it develops and evolves them with care, each with their own personality...[Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Jonathan L @JLapisback23 10h As a lifelong fan of the X-Men comics and franchise, it pains me to give this season 2 stars when last season earned a perfect 5. The season began with a strong, intriguing Apocalypse storyline that had all the makings of an epic adventure. However, after the first four episodes, the narrative seemed to lose focus, as if the creative team couldn't agree on the direction of the story. My biggest disappointment was the payoff. Apocalypse was built up as a devastating threat all season, yet the finale never delivered the epic showdown fans were expecting. Instead, too much of the conflict took place inside Charles Xavier's mind rather than in the real world. For a villain of Apocalypse's stature, the lack of a climactic battle felt like a missed opportunity. The final episode was especially underwhelming compared to last season's incredible ending, which left me stunned and eager for more. I hope Marvel listens to fan feedback on this season. See more Jolie T @RT63762937 18h Man blown away by the second season genuinely better than the first in every way it started off great slowed down a little in the middle and absolutely crushed the ending loved all the episodes and really enjoyed the solo episodes we got to focus on characters. See more Easton B @Ebmoviemaster2026 1d I just finished watching x-men 97 season 2 and sadly, it was kind of a letdown. To start off the first 4 episodes are amazing. The animation is great. All the x-men are great. The action is spectacular. There is a lot of emotion. All the suits look amazing especially wolverine’s brown and yellow suit. Apocalypse is a great villain, FOR THE FIRST 4 EPISODES!!! Now the negatives. Like I said the first 4 episodes are amazing but after that it is a MESS. Every other episode is just another side plot that doesn’t really fit with the Apocalypse storyline. Speaking of Apocalypse after the first 4 episodes he is so wasted. They could have used him so much more. When I was watching the finale I was loving it but then the ending just felt off. Overall this show has some amazing moments but also some very low moments and the first season is definitely a lot better but this season 2 is not bad but it had so much potential. See more Jacob B @JB3.0 1d While a slight step down from the previous season thanks to having to cram in an overarching story within a 10-episode season leading to some pacing issues, X-Men '97 S2 is still another great helping of superhero television in its own right. Animation's still amazing, the action sequences kick ass and the episodes still have compelling narratives with strong writing and characterisations with the highlights IMO being the episode adapting the Danger Room arc from Joss Whedon's run on X-Men and the one focused on Nightcrawler (best character BTW) giving his brother a trial. While this season peaked too early with the time travel shenanigans and I have a few nitpicks (some of Morph's shapeshifting cameos come off as gratuitous *cough* Deadpool *cough* + subtitles ratting out impostors), I still enjoyed watching this season and remain curious to see what happens next. See more Camille O @numerousmeghann 1d Started off really strong with Magneto’s death , but the rest of the season was kind of a rushed mess. The pacing has always been fast, but this season really lacked focus. 2 or 3 more episodes would've made it work better. That said, I still had a great time watching it, and I’m excited for the sequels. See more JOED T @JOEDLOPART 2d As far as i love the X-Men, i liked this season, and as the hardcore fan that i am i have possitive points and unfortunately bad ones: Possitive: I liked the season, it was entertaning, fresh plots, Apocalypse is a monster, loved to see different characters hosting the episodes. Negative: I said that Apocalypse was a monster, but why it wasn't the final villain? why this Weird Gambit? the final 2 episodes was so Anticlimatc, also as i said the episodes was very different, that was negative because the main plot feels blurry, like: Where's Apocalypse Menance? and unfortunately Colossus episode was like this filler episode that doesn't change nothing. Please Show this love to the show that it was really amazing, like in season 1 See more Read all reviews
