Cristina Soler is outstanding in theater, cinema and television alike. While at the San Jose Academy, she participated in a speaking contest in an attempt to overcome shyness. What began as a challenge became vocation. She studied at the Department of Drama of the University of Puerto Rico. Her first professional work as an actress was in the early 80's with the Carlos dramatist Ferrari in the theater work "Love in the 80". This was followed by "The True History of Pedro Knife", "The Guest" and "Happy Birthday to You, Mother" which received critical acclaim. She was awarded by the Circle of Critics of Theater of Puerto Rico, and had already made her debut on the small screen at the age of 18 years. While completing her undergraduate studies, she acted in the soap opera "Amame". She then moved to New York to obtain her Masters in Theater Education at the University of New York. She divided her time between teaching and the arts until time constraints had her choose to concentrate solely on the arts. In the time since, she has gained a reputation as an excellent comedic actor.
