Dick Crockett was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Crockett's earliest roles were in film, including the Lana Turner crime drama "The Postman Always Rings Twice" (1946), the Rod Cameron western "Panhandle" (1948) and "Gold Raiders" (1951). He also appeared in "Cruisin' Down the River" (1953), the musical comedy "All Ashore" (1953) with Mickey Rooney and the comedy "Jalopy" (1953) with Leo Gorcey. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Lee J. Cobb crime feature "The Garment Jungle" (1957), "Mister Cory" (1957) with Tony Curtis and the Jack Lemmon comedic adaptation "Operation Mad Ball" (1957). He also appeared in the Tony Curtis comedy "The Perfect Furlough" (1958). In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the action picture "Batman: The Movie" (1966) with Adam West, the Craig Stevens mystery "Gunn" (1967) and the comedy "The Party" (1968) with Peter Sellers. He also appeared in "The Moonshine War" (1970) with Patrick McGoohan. Crockett last worked on the comedy "10" (1979) with Dudley Moore. Crockett passed away in January 1979 at the age of 64.
