Ethan Nicolle

Most comic book artists spend their entire career trying to create that one memorable character. But for Ethan Nicolle, who rose to fame as the creator of "Axe Cop" (Fox 2013- ), the germ of his million-dollar idea came from a rather unlikely source: his five-year-old brother Malachai. It was a barely-out-of-diapers Malachai who suggested to his then 28-year-old brother that they play "Axe Cop." The idea stuck with Nicolle, and before the year was over he, along with the help of Malachai, had gone on to create one of the most successful underground webcomics of the late 2000s. By the summer of 2013, the animated version of "Axe Cop" had debuted on the Fox network, an uncanny turn of events turning a child's fantasy into a mainstream TV show.
