Derek Watkins worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. He had a part on the television special "Diddy Runs the City" (MTV, 2003-04). Watkins started in the industry by acting in films like the Jessica Alba drama "Honey" (2003). In the early 2000s, Watkins devoted his time to various credits, such as "Fat Albert" with Kenan Thompson (2004), "Trippin'" (MTV, 2004-05) and "Idlewild" (2006). He also worked on "From G's to Gents" (MTV, 2007-09) and "From G's to Gents: Reunion" (MTV, 2008-09). In the early 2000s and the 2010s, Watkins lent his talents to projects like "Played by Fame" "T.I.'s Road to Redemption" (MTV, 2008-09) and "SOS Saving OurSelves: Help for Haiti" (BET, 2009-2010). His credits also expanded to "Celebration of Gospel" (BET, 2011-12). Watkins most recently acted in "Think Like a Man Too" (2014).
