Jennifer Holliday was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Holliday worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "Below the Belt" with Regina Baff (1980), "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" (1988) starring Keenen Ivory Wayans and "In the Mood" (1987) starring Patrick Dempsey. She also contributed to "Loretta Lynn in the Big Apple" (NBC, 1982-83), "Motown Returns to the Apollo" (NBC, 1984-85) and "Texas 150: A Celebration Special" (ABC, 1985-86). In the eighties and the nineties, Holliday devoted her time to various credits, such as "That's What Friends Are For" (CBS, 1989-1990), "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" (NBC, 1991-92) and "The Five Heartbeats" (1991). She also worked on "The NFL at 75: An All-Star Celebration" (ABC, 1994-95). Additionally, she appeared on the television special "The Singer and the Song: In Performance at the White House" (PBS, 1999-2000). Holliday also contributed music to the Tyler Perry dramatic adaptation "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?" (2007). Holliday most recently worked on "Too Darn Hot Party" (OWN, 2014-15).
