i thought this was pretty good
It's the performances you'll want to stick around for, especially from veterans Ali Larter and Idris Elba.
I kinda like films like this one..
The only entertaining scene in this film is the ending
Thoroughly cliché and dumb, but this psychological “thriller” features game performances and many unintentional laughs.
My biggest issue with this movie is that it fails to answer questions we, the viewers, want to know:
Why does Lisa have it out for this Idris Elba? (I mean i get why any woman would have it out for him, but thats a different story).
When did she first lay her eyes on him; do they "know" each other from before hand, but Derek has forgotten about her?
Why doesn't Derek show at least the slightest interest in Lisa, to create at least a bit of conflict? (I'm just saying what everybody else is thinking: Fatal Attraction is a superior film)
Why does Beth believe her husband has an affair with the woman who just tried to commit suicide? (Just because she was found naked in his bed isn't enough evidence)
I actually remembered some bits of the movie before watching it again with some of my classmates. Most importantly; it's not worth watching.
One of those films I finished knowing that was an hour and a half of my life I was NEVER ever getting back.
Starts relatively interesting with an age old concept, then it never really seems to go anywhere, Idris Elba is reduced to a background character, and I want to know who told Beyoncé she could act. Stick to your music honey.
The final 3rd which seems to be the most well received with the majority, was utterly ludicrous, fist fight between Beyonce and Larter reminiscent of Family Guy's Peter vs the giant chicken scenes. Definitely give this one a miss.
waste of absolute time! The problem with actor director combos is they inevitably turn into self glorifying excuses for a a movie! However Idris was the man!
Not bad. Though Beyoncé was horrendous. She's basically the female Tyrese. Can't act even a little bit. Idris Elba and Ali Larter did what they could with an all too simple script. Should've been 20 mins longer with more a backstory on Lisa's character to explain why she was the way she was. Without that it was really just a contrived B-movie. Could've been better. Should've been better.
Refreshing No pig slop not xxx so sick of shows with that. Not needed , they prove it in this.
